Make your own wine at home

Homemade wine is a wonderfully rewarding hobby, and far easier than you might think. Our Hedgerow Wine Making Kit has been a favourite since 2011, with a recipe table covering everything from blackberry and elderberry to apple, plum and rhubarb. It includes the equipment and instructions you need, you just add your chosen fruit and sugar, and it is ready to drink in 8 to 12 weeks.

    How it works

    1. Choose a fruit from the recipe table, foraged, garden or shop-bought.
    2. Ferment the crushed fruit for the first few days, then strain.
    3. Let the longer second fermentation work its magic.
    4. Bottle, mature and enjoy from 8 to 12 weeks.

New to wine making? The booklet takes you through every step, and you will find extra tips in the wine guides in our Help Hut. Prefer spirits? Take a look at our spiced rum kits too.
