Craft Kits
The art of beautiful repair
Kintsugi is the centuries-old Japanese art of mending broken ceramics with gold, celebrating the cracks rather than hiding them. Our Kintsugi Kit makes it easy for beginners: it uses a simple two-part epoxy instead of traditional lacquer, and even includes two practice bowls so you can perfect your technique before repairing a treasured piece. A wonderfully mindful hobby and a meaningful gift.
How kintsugi works
- Practise on the two china bowls included in the kit.
- Mix equal parts of the two-part epoxy and apply it to the clean broken edges.
- Press the pieces together and hold until set.
- Brush the gold-effect powder along the seam to celebrate the repair.
